This is where we explain, from step one, what is essential to Junior Branch. If you already know why you’re here feel free to browse through the other sections, or to start here anyway. Because you never know, maybe it will tell you something you didn’t already know.

What is Junior Branch? What does Junior Branch do? How does Junior Branch work? These are some of the questions that the JB essentials answer.

The JB essentials are the foundations of JB. They are the things that simply are what JB is. They are not opinions, or suggestions, they are an articulation of the way that JB has developed over the past 40 years of its existence.

Over that 40 years many, many concepts were created. While some of them were left aside by the following generations, a few of them resisted and remained relevant as the years went by. As we see it, that was not determined by chance. We understand these ideas to play a special role in helping to understand Junior Branch. But what are they?

The idea that all JBs are part of A Global Movement;
The idea that all JBs work towards the JB Goals;
The idea that JBs are Constantly Developing;
The idea that JBs are Self-Governing entities;

We hope that by learning about and exploring these ideas you will have a better understanding of what Junior Branch is all about.
