JB Goals

What exactly is Junior Branch?   Well, first of all, Junior Branch is a collection of people. It is the people within Junior Branch (like you!) that make it work and act and contribute towards CISV and the creation of a more peaceful society.   So what can you do in JB? Well, a Junior Branch can do anything it wants to do really, so long as it is working towards achieving the Junior Brach Goals.

The Junior Branch goals are a set of goals, which give the direction, meaning and purpose of Junior Branch.   These goals are the framework for everything we do within Junior Branch, everything we do and organize within JB should be working towards achieving one or more of these goals.

So what exactly are these goals? In short—what does JB exist to do?

   1. Building an Inclusive Community
   2. Developing our Organization
   3. Advancing Leadership
   4. Educating By Experience
   5. Empowering to Reflect and Act

Overall, the JB Goals direct the work of the IJB Committee as well as local and national Junior Branches all over the world.   So the next time you think of a JB project, you can ask yourself does this contribute towards archiving the JB goals? If it does, you know that not only are you doing something fun and cool, you’re doing something with a set of educational goals which is what makes JB what it is.
